Post Procedure Care - Skin Surgery
* Keep the wound clean and dry for the first 24 hours.* After 24 hours, cleanse the wound with hydrogen peroxide twice daily then apply a light coat of Polysporin ointment. Discontinue after the final scab has healed.
* Keep the area covered if there is any drainage.
* Notify the office if any signs of infection develop such as redness, swelling, or abnormal drainage.
* Keep your scheduled appointment to have your stitches removed.
* Polysporin ointment and hydrogen peroxide can be obtained at any drug store. Neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment may be substituted for Polysporin.
