Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is used to treat small unwanted blood vessels typically found on the legs. A solution called sclerosing solution is injected directly into the blood vessel using a very fine needle. The solution irritates the lining of the vessel causing it to swell, stick together and fade away. Over a period of weeks the vessel fades, eventually becoming barely noticeable or invisible. After several treatments, most patients can expect a 50% to 90% improvement.
